This 2011 vintage port wine from Burmester features generous floral and fruit scents of ripe dates, black plum and raisin. The taste is sweet and syrupy in the mouth

At a young age, a vintage port is full and fruity with lots of tannin. It will certainly take 15-20 years for the best vintage port to reach its peak. A vintage port can, if well preserved, very good elderly. The tannins soften over time and the full fruit flavor disappears slightly into the background and makes way for cedar, leather, spices and toffee hints.

Food-pairing
Ideal after meals. Goes very well with strong cheeses like, Stilton, Gorgonzola, Roquefort, blue cheeses and Portuguese Serra (Portuguese sheep cheese). It can also be served with fruit or rich chocolate desserts, and fits perfectly with a good Cuban cigar

Store & Serve
Unopened and well-preserved, your vintage port wine can be kept for years. Store horizontally at a constant temperature of 15 ° C away from intense direct light. Vintage port wines from 50 to 60 years old are no exception. Because this wine is still ripening on the bottle, sediment can be formed with time, so that the wine has to be decanted before consumption, so when you approach the bottom of the bottle, carefully pour it

After decanting, the wine will quickly reach its peak and is best consumed during the course of the day. Drink between 16º C - 18ºC
