A purple-hued port with complex aromas of blackcurrant, cherry, and floral notes, along with chocolate tones. Firm tannins and a spicy finish. In 2002, we had a very difficult season throughout the Douro region. Based on this, we can say that the winemaker did an excellent job.
A very interesting port that is ready to drink now.
Food Pairing
This port pairs perfectly with venison.
Perfect with cheeses like Stilton, Brie, and Camembert.
Delicious with dark chocolate (at least 60% cocoa), figs, walnuts, almonds, and roasted chestnuts.
