Ricardo: “My mother, Manuela Vasconcelos, started working with my grandfather, Mário Barbeito, in the 1970s. I joined her in 1989 and together we started a new chapter in Vinhos Barbeito. Since Malvasia was her favorite wine, I decided to make this '' Mãe Manuela '', this in her honor. It is a selection of 40 year old malvasia wines supplemented with even older malvasia wines from my grandfather's private collection. 1.050 bottles were filled in 2013 , all individually numbered "
