Vinho Verde - Casa Santa Eulalia

In Atei, Mondim de Basto, in the middle of the Vinho Verde region, lies Casa Santa Eulália.

It is the highest region of the 9 sub-regions of the Vinho Verde. This family estate dates from the 17th century and has 38ha vineyard with granite soil and the perfect climate. The climate tends to favor the later ripening white varieties such as Avesso and Azal and Vinhao and Espideiro as red varieties. With the latter also delicious rosé wines are produced. Local tradition and innovative technologies go hand in hand both in the vineyard and in the lagares. Oenologist of service is Anselmo Mendes, the leading winemaker in northern Portugal.
