A late bottled vintage from 201 with a seductive blue-violet color. Aromas of blueberries and blackberries topped with round sweet creamy marzipan, English liquorice and round tannins make the wine the obvious choice for7 blue cheese, risalamande - a traditional Danish dessert served with Christmas dinner. It is made from mixed rice pudding with whipped cream, sugar, vanilla and chopped almonds -, where the fruit richness and kirsch notes of the wine match best.
When a port house wants to market an LBV port, it must have it declared by the Instituto de Vinho do Porto. This happens 4 years after the harvest between March 1 and September 30 of that year. Bottling must therefore take place again between July 1 of the 4th year after the harvest and December 31 of the 6th year after the harvest. Due to the strict requirements of the Instituto de Vinho do Porto you are assured of a good glass of port
