Quinta da Devesa LBV is a Late Bottle Vintage Port wine of great refinement and complexity that highlights ripe notes of black fruits, nuances of red wild fruits, along with delicate floral aromas, and balsamic notes. It is an elegant LBV port wine, with a velvety and silky structure, which develops delicate floral notes, slightly herbal notes and has very elegant acidity.
Food pairing
Taste delicious with chocolate desserts, especially if dark and bitter chocolate is used, also with foie gras, sublime with cheeses such as Cheddar, Gouda, Brie or blue cheeses such as Bleu de Bresse , Blue Stilton, Roquefort & Portuguese cheeses. Spicy dishes with red meat or game, including lamb and veal. However, the combination that surpasses everything is an LBV and pepper steak!
Grapes: Tinta Roriz, Touriga Franca, Touriga Nacional & Tinta Barroca
The grapes from this Quinta are harvested manually in small containers and taken to the mill to be trodden on foot. Fermentation lasted about 3 to 5 days, producing a wine with excellent extract. The wine aged for 4 years in old wooden barrels. The blend was made in September 2019. LBV 2015 is a traditional LBV, without any hot or cold treatment, and unfiltered, thus conserving all the existing fruit potential. It is ready to drink as soon as it is bottled, but it will age beautifully in a cellar, waiting for complexity.
