This fine dessert wine, Jose Maria da Fonseca Domingos Soares Franco 'Coleccao Privada' Moscatel Roxo Rose from 2006, is very light pink and bright in color. Little tears and a wide watery edge. Youthful fresh aromas of red fruit, especially raspberry and some floral notes of rose petals perceptible. Cork-dry, refreshingly acidic, again dominant red fruits, such as raspberry and strawberries, in the mouth. The finish is of medium length.

Delicious with a sabayon with fruit or with a fresh fruit salad, all kinds of cakes and cakes with fresh fruits and fruit compotes also delicious with pancakes with vanilla sauce and desserts based on hazelnut and almonds
Grapes: Moscatel Roxo
In Setúbal we know the Moscatel de Setúbal or Moscatel Branco (Muscat d'Alexandria), the Moscatel Roxo (the blue variant) and the Moscatel de Douro (smaller and less blue). For the ordinary Moscatel de Setúbal the Moscatel Branco is the most used, for the special types the Moscatel Roxo is used a lot.

Winemaker
Domingos Soares Franco, winemaker and vice president, is the youngest of the two representatives of the sixth generation of the family that manage José Maria da Fonseca.
He studied in Davis, California, and began working at José Maria da Fonseca in the 1980s. Since then, he has made some changes
introduced in wine production and became one of the most innovative new generation winemakers in Portugal.
