Hardly known to the general public are the sparkling wines of Portugal. The best ones are made in the traditional way and come from the Dao region, a region previously known for its red wines.
The granite soils for the Quinta do Ribeiro Santo vineyards provide excellent initial conditions for native grape varieties such as Malvasia Fina and Bical. Combining in apricot aroma and citrus notes with a lively acidity.
This sparkling wine is an ideal aperitif and affordable alternative to its companion the Champagne.
This sparkling wine from the Dao is straw yellow in color with green apple aromas and tropical fruit. Has a good lemony acidity, fine bubbles and is elegant, fresh and creamy on the palate.
