The Madeira Collection No. 6 is a blend with only Tinta Negra Mole. The wine completes the collection and represents "the old style" with some very old wines from demijohns of the Barbeito family. The old MBV wines (private bottling) of the Barbeito family are the guideline in the style of No. 6. With a very pronounced character in aroma and enormous length, you clearly recognize the old wine style coupled with the energy of younger Tinta Negra.

Madeira is a wine that matured in an oxidative environment for several years, and then comes to bottling in a reductive environment. It is therefore useful to open the bottles a few hours in advance. The bottles can then be preserved almost unlimited, as the air is no longer affecting Madeira wines. It is even so that after a few months the wine tastes better than when the bottle is just opened.
