Pale tawny colour with a broad amber rim. The nose has an attractive warm nutty character, notes of marzipan and walnut fusing with aromas of black coffee. Discreet musky animal notes give the wine a sensuous wild dimension. The palate is rich and mellow but lifted by an attractive zesty herbal finish. A beautifully mature Vintage Port ready for drinking now.

This vintage is delicious with dark chocolate and as a digestive with or without a fine cigar
Take them with cheese like Stilton or Gorgonzola. But you can also incorporate them into a meal, combining for instance a Steak au Poivre with a young Vintage.
