Wine of deep blue color, with dark cherry, mulberry and other dark berry. On the palate shows an explosion of ripe fruit combined with a high freshness and pronounced tannins, but balanced, giving it tremendous life and long aftertaste, characteristic that increases the aging potential. Can be consumed already.

This port is delicious with foie gras, certain cheeses (Gorgonzola, Roquefort), as an aperitif or as dessert wine

grapes come from the upper Douro, a vineyard of 200 hectares of which one third is planted with traditional grapes of the region, Touriga Franca and Tinta Roriz are the dominant castes, followed by Touriga Nacional, Tinta Barroca and Tinto Cão, classified with the letter A, the highest category in the Douro. The vineyard was constructed in 1845 and was planted for the first time by Baron van Seixo
