A colheita port, ruby, almost opaque, in color. An intense complex aroma of ripe fruit. Fresh and elegant in the mouth, the tannins are soft but present. The aftertaste is an aromatic explosion of black currants. A fresh, complex, lingering port wine that announces great aging potential.
Food pairing
Ideal after meals. Goes very well with strong cheeses such as, Stilton, Gorgonzola, Roquefort, blue cheeses & Portuguese Serra (Portuguese sheep's cheese). It can also be served with fruit or chocolate desserts, and goes well with a good cigar. A young vintage port can also be added to the sauce of a pepper steak. Simply delicious!
