To increase the polyphenolic complexity as well as the flavors of the tannins and the structure, the wine remained in the barrel for a post-fermentative maceration process. The malolactic fermentation then took place in stainless steel vats. Aged for 12 months in French oak barrels, followed by a 6-month rest in the historic cellar of Adega de Borba
