The 2019 agricultural year recorded temperatures corresponding to the average for the last 20 years, while the recorded rainfall values were below the average values for the same period. In the spring and up until the beginning of the summer, temperatures were higher than in 2018, which led to a considerable advance in the phenology of the vine, translating into the anticipation of the harvest in about 2 weeks, compared to 2018. The summer registered lower temperatures in the veraison phase, promoting a constant and homogeneous ripening process, ideal conditions for raw material of excellent quality.
Matured for 12 months in 60% American oak and 40% French oak barrels. After bottling, the wine ripens in the bottle 8 months before being put on the market

Elaborado pela primeira vez em 1985, esse tinto é composto a partir de Alicante Bouschet, Touriga Nacional, Aragonez, Syrah, Trincadeira, Cabernet Sauvignon e Touriga Franca, com estágio de 12 meses em barricas de carvalho americano (60%) e francês (40%). Mostra notas florais, de ervas e de especiarias acompanhado sua fruta lembrando cassis e ameixas, tudo sustentado por taninos firmes e finos e refrescante acidez, que conferem fluidez ao vinho. Tem final persistente e cheio, com toques de violetas, de alcaçuz e de grafite. Seguramente, entre as melhores versões desse vinho elaboradas até agora.
