In the aroma, some evolutionary notes of dried fruit, balsamic and spices mix with the still young and fresh wild fruit. Silky smooth, enveloping, with bitter cocoa and peppers in the firm, dry and serious aftertaste. A limited production of 3,000 bottles.
At the end of the Centenary year, Herdade Grande fuses wine and art, and pays homage to the heritage of Alentejo viticulture: the special edition Génese do Baco is born, an exclusive box of 6 bottles that features a painting with the same name, authored by artist António Saiote.
Food pairing
Ideal wine with lamb or chickpea stews. Also delicious with the Ethiopian dish, Alicha Begh Wot
Grapes: 30% Aragonês, 30% Trincadeira, 40% Alicante Bouschet
Manual harvest with careful selection on the sorting table. All grapes are destemmed. Fermentation takes place in small lagares with controlled temperature. After the fermentation phase, the wine matures in new French oak barrels for 12 months.
