The Poeira Vinha da Torre comes from an old vineyard located in Covas do Douro and was planted in 1950. With an enormous variety of grape varieties, rocky and very sloping, oriented to the north and located at 400 m altitude. We have searched for a long time for this vineyard, an old vineyard but with a good concept, vines are in excellent condition with characteristics of altitude and sun exposure that fit perfectly with the philosophy of Poeira. A vineyard where we find all the concentration, elegance, balance and complexity of the Douro, but without excess. We believe that we produce from this vineyard a wine that is the best that the Douro has to offer
Extremely delicate aromas of fresh red fruits, shrubs, spices and a lot of minerality. The taste shows some tannic texture, very fresh fruit, light spice and well-marked acidity. Long ends. An elegant and very lively wine. This is a very unusual profile in the region. In a blind test, we would hardly put you in the Douro. Super well made!
