A fine ruby red wine with a complex aroma of notes of black and violet fruit, in harmony with hints of pine needle, cardamom and pepper. The taste is woven with noble tannins. A well integrated acidity and a long lively aftertaste.
The characteristics of the wines are strongly
influenced by the granitic terrain and the fact that the vines are planted in forests with pines, eucalyptus and oak trees.
Food-Pairing
Delicious with fine grilled meat dishes
Grapes: Touriga Nacional, Alfrocheiro, Tinta Roriz
The grapes are manual harvested at the end of September, carefully selected and transported in small boxes weighing 18 kg, followed by a second selection on arrival at the winery. The grapes are completely destemmed and in small granite "lagares" macerated at low temperature for 24 hours. Afterwards follows an alcoholic fermentation of about 15 days. After fermentation, the wine is poured into new French oak barrels - which were already used for the fermentation of white wine - where it gets a rest period of 9 months
