To explain the difference between Ruby and Tawny Port, Niepoort created the twins 'Ruby Dum & Tawny Dee' after the story of Alice in Wonderland. They both start as fortified wine but separate their ways and each receive a different 'upbringing'. Niepoort Ruby is an expressive port with a lot of character, fresh, young and fruity. The concept was devised by the Portuguese artist Regina Pessoa and, together with the 'Rabbit Dry White' and the 'Tawny Dee', is inspired by characters from Alice in Wonderland.

Delicious as an aperitif or with (desserts of) dark chocolate or cheeses such as Cheddar, gouda & brie

Serve at 12-14°C
Remains drinkable for a few months (4 to 6 months) after opening, provided you always close the bottle with the original stopper cork and store it at a constant temperature of about 12 degrees
