Quinta da Devesa 50 Years Old Tawny Port is an aged Port wine with a beautiful copper colour along with an orange border, that highlights the slow, and the deep ageing process in French oak barrels for over 50 years. It presents extraordinary evolutionary aromas of roasted caramel notes, super-ripe nectarines, a distinct roast character. Elegant and silky texture. Smooth and evolved nuances of nuts, exotic flavors that include dried dates and peaches and pecan nut pie. The finish is exceptionally long, imbued with an elegant interplay of tropical fruits and caramelized nuts that linger beautifully.

Quinta da Devesa 50 years old Tawny Port is produced by the traditional Porto wine method. This is the blend of the best Port wine's batches ageing in oak casks with an average of age of 50 years, produced from different grape varieties, from old vines, such as Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, Tinta Barroca, Tinto Cão.
Quinta da Devesa Ports are produced exclusively from lots vinified and aged on the property. Since 1941, the harvests considered of superior quality by the family's winemakers have been stored and aged in wooden casks. These extraordinary wines are now used to produce Quinta da Devesa Ports. Owned by the Fortunato family, Quinta da Devesa is a small 34-hectare winery in the Cima Corgo sub-region of the Douro Valley, overlooking the confluence of the rivers Douro and Corgo. The winery has been dedicated to the production of Douro and Port wine since 1941. Tawny Ports, both red and white, are the winery's specialty. The vineyards range in elevation from 500 to 600 meters, part south-facing, with excellent sun exposure, and part north-facing where it receives cooler prevailing winds. This diversity of sun and wind exposure causes varying levels of maturation and development that allow harvesting under optimal conditions.

Dark gold in color, rich and on the dry side, this is a very fine wine from a family-owned quinta close to Régua. The long wood aging has introduced great concentration to the dried fruits and burnt toffee flavors. Marmalade and surprising freshness give the wine a lift. It is ready to drink now.
