This is the most prestigious cuvée of Terrenus with only grapes from the highest and oldest parcel of Rui Reguinga.
Wine from the Portalegre sub-region, from vineyards located in the Serra de São Mamede. Old vines with an average age of around 100 years. Schist soils with some granite outcrops. Located between 600 and 900 meters altitude. It is cooler here and due to the altitude there is a greater difference between day and night temperatures. As a result, the grapes ripen quietly and gradually with a higher natural acidity. Because Rui's vineyards are located in the middle of a natural park, he works his vineyards based on biological and partly biodynamic principles. He chose the name Terrenus referring to 'Terra' which means earth.
Manual harvest in “field blend”. Fermentation with indigenous yeasts in cement vats and later aging for 6 months in 500L French oak barrels.
