In 2015, Luís Louro and Inês Capão decided to challenge each other: after more than ten years of working together, sharing ideas and experiences and, above all, sharing a very clear vision of what they believe to be Alentejo, this time each one should create a wine autonomously. From these two winemakers LouCa (Portuguese word that means CRAZY) is born, two red wines of two people whose starting point was the belief in the potential of authentic Alentejo.
The name LOUCA results from the joining of the first syllable of the last name of each winemaker: Luís Louro created the LOUca and Inês Capão drew the louCA.
Both resulted in fresh and elegant wines, each with its owner's “signature”.

Grapes
The LOUca 2015 is composed of 30% Aragonez, 60% Alicante Bouschet & 10% Touriga Nacional from limestone soils. After the vinification process, it aged for 12 months in 300 liter French oak barrels.
