A fine reserva from the Douro. Deep ruby red. Subtle and firm, aromas of red fruit and dark plums, but not overly sweet. A touch of pepper and spices. Beautifully fresh and intense, beautifully mixed in the mouth, so it is difficult to distinguish individual flavors in the mouth. Full, dense and a soft long mineral finish with a slight nuance of coffee
Ruby colour. Aromas of blackberries, violets, pine and dark chocolate. Very elegant, complex and enveloping mouthfeel, with black plums and a very fine coffee nuance. Great class and elegance.
Food pairing
Excellent wine for not too strong meat dishes. Very good with veal and light sauce. Delightful with roasted pork loin with mushrooms, fresh peas and mini carrots
Grapes: Touriga Nacional, Tinto Cao, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz

At the end of the 1980s the Alves de Sousa family acquired the 18 hectares that make up the Quinta do Vale da Raposa. In 1992 it was the debut in the production of DOC Douro wines with a red wine that immediately captivated connoisseurs and deserved the best references. One example: direct entry to the prestigious list of the 30 Best Buys from around the World by the renowned English journalist Oz Clarke. Since then Quinta do Vale da Raposa has never stopped.
