Casa Ferreirinha Antonia Adelaide Ferreira Tinto 2016
Deep ruby red color with an aroma of great intensity and complexity, with notes of dried fruit such as hazelnut, flowers, resin notes, cedar and tobacco box, spicy, pepper and clove, mineral notes and wood that is discreet and very well integrated. On the palate it shows great structure, polished and high-quality tannins and a well-integrated acidity. Aromas of red fruit, mineral notes and spices complete the tasting with an extremely long and complex finish
The patriarch of the Ferreira family started commercial activity in the mid-18th century. However, the foundations of the business were the result of the action of their grandchildren, José Bernardo and António Bernardo, in the early 1800s, when they significantly increased the agricultural heritage they inherited. The marriage between his descendants, cousins António Bernardo II and Antónia Adelaide, would consolidate a unique legacy and indelibly mark Ferreira's future. After becoming a widow, Dona Antónia took over the business of the company which she strengthened and increased thanks to her entrepreneurial spirit and charisma. Her intelligence and kindness won the warm admiration of her contemporaries, who affectionately called her "Ferreirinha". The acquisition of Ferreira, in 1987, by Sogrape made it possible to preserve and increase the heritage, historical and cultural heritage of Ferreira.

Grapes: 40% Touriga Nacional, 40% Touriga Franca, 15% Vinhas Velhas, 5% Sousão
after careful crushing and complete destemplation, the grapes are fermented in stainless steel vats at a controlled temperature. During this fermentation, the wine is regularly pumped over. Due to the long maceration, a balanced aromatic and polyphenolic extraction is obtained. After maceration, the wine was transported to Vila Nova de Gaia where, at the end of the fermentation, it is aged for about 2 years in French oak barrels. The final blend was prepared on the basis of a very precise selection, after numerous tastings confirming the excellence of the wines and their maturation.
