A red wine with an exuberant and complex bouquet of black fruits, such as blackberry and blueberry, harmoniously combined with aromatic notes (menthol and tobacco) as well as spicy notes. On the palate, well balanced, round, rich taste of fruit and spices, good concentration of tannins, long persistence

The perfect wine for all types of meat dishes, stews, game, veal and pork and hard cheeses
Grapes: Alicante Boushet, Cabernet Sauvignon, Touriga Nacional, Trincadeira
Located in Redondo, the 35ha of vines were planted on clay and shale soils and surrounded by a montado forest. It is a special terroir, where the Alentejo sun blends perfectly with the soils and produces very characteristic grapes, giving robust and vigorous wines, without losing their freshness.
In Herdade de São Miguel, the main varieties planted are Alicante Bouschet, Trincadeira, Aragonez and Touriga Nacional.
The grapes are harvested manually, followed by total destemming, then maceration before fermentation for 48 hours. Fermentation at controlled temperature (22ºC-28ºC) in open vats (lagares) with automatic taps. Malolactic fermentation in oak barrels. Aging lasts 12 months in 400L oak barrels and 6 months in 5000L oak barrels.

This young wine offers ripe fruit and structured tannins will develop into a dense, ageworthy wine. Bold black fruits and crisp acidity gain extra richness from the wood aging. Drink from 2021. Roger Voss
