A concentrated red wine, ruby color with violet tones. Expressive aromas of wild fruit & some spicy notes. Elegant tannins in harmony with a balanced acidity and fresh aftertaste. A wine with elegance, character and a great aging potential
Food-Pairing
Pairs beautifully with duck confit, foie gras dishes, roasted veal or lamb and traditional sausages.
Grapes: Touriga Nacional, Alfrocheiro
The grapes are harvested end of September, beginning of October, carefully selected and transported in small boxes of 18 kg, followed by a second selection on arrival at the winery. The grapes are completely destemmed and in small granite "lagares" macerated at low temperature for 2 days. Afterwards follows an alcoholic fermentation of about 15 days. After fermentation, the wine is poured into 2 year old and used French oak barrels where it ages for 14 months
