Aphros 2023 Ten
The Aphros Ten (referencing the alcohol level and supposedly the grams of residual sugar) is the first the lightest by the winery. It has some echoes of the “9%” Docils we see elsewhere – but goes to “ten.” It may be lighter in alcohol and concentration, certainly less concentrated than the regular Loureiro and not likely to develop as well, but it has its moments. Many will like it as well early on for its tasty and fruity demeanor, while remaining reasonably persistent and crisp. There is a little viscosity underneath and a nice finish. Combine this structure with the crisp acidic balance of grapes grown in Iberia’s cool northwest and you have the recipe for an intensely refreshing and crushable sipper. Drink it this summer for peak performance. It is quite charming.

The perfect choice for fish, grilled or baked, cod with cream, codfish fritters, shellfish, sushi & salads
Grapes: 100% Loureiro
After manual harvesting, the grapes are macerated few days before pressing and vinification between 13-16 °C in stainless steel tanks. Aging “sur lies” for 2 months
