This wine impressed us all with its full body and creamy mouth feel, showing rich, powerful citrus and honey aromas, with citrus, stone fruit, crisp acidity and complex minerality on the palate. Refined and intense.
Luis Pato is one of the leading winemakers in the Beiras region of Portugal, where he has helped to modernize some winemaking practices as well as lift the quality of the region's wines. Luis was a chemical engineer before taking over his parent's winery in the 1980's. Immediately he began to experiment with his red and white wine production, honing his skills over the years to help create wines of excellent quality. Today he has 65 hectares of land that he uses to make wonderful red, white and sparkling wines.
