An enchanting white wine with a delicate and fine aroma, very expressive, elegant, with a slightly fruity sweetness offset by a good acidity. Light, but full of flavor and very fresh. The label and packaging were designed by Henrique Cayatte and are based on an original engraving by Armanda Passos
VINHO VERDE ZULMIRA is produced with grapes from a small farm in Santo Tirso, in the north of Portugal. Originally integrated, from 1724, on the vast heritage of Benedictine monks, located on the bank of the River Ave and with a natural charm, this farm was used by its owners as a sheltered place at the time, intended for rest, prayer and contemplation. According to monastic records, vines were planted at the time, as well as chestnut, olive and other fruit trees. The domain is completely walled and in the entrance gate you will find a small statue of S. Bento, to which the legend attributes miraculous powers.
Many years later, in the 20th century, Zulmira was the woman who, for affective and emotional reasons, chose this property from her parents' legacy to enjoy, maintain and protect it in a way consistent with its long history. And it is in honor of this wonderful woman who never gave up the farm and the vineyard that the wine is registered under her name, ZULMIRA. Today it is up to her daughter and granddaughters to continue this tradition and share with you the special quality, texture and elegance of this ZULMIRA Vinho Verde.
