Pai Chão Tinto Reserva is a deep garnet colored red wine with a very attractive and fruity aroma of ripe black and blue blackberries complemented with a hint of spices, smoked and subtle tertiary hints of
almond and black chocolate. In the mouth there is a play of elegance, volume and structure, with concentrated fruit and herbs in the long and impressive finish. A wine with excellent potential for further evolution in the bottle, but can already be drunk now
Food pairing
This is a good complement to intense and spicy food, such as red meat, roasted dishes or game dishes.
Grapes: 80% Alicante Bouschet, 20% Touriga Nacional
The harvest was manual, followed by a selection of bunches and grapes at the winery. The grape was de-stemmed and fermented in 5,000 litre French oak vats with temperature control. The batch aged 24 months in new French oak barrels and then in the bottle.
