In the glass, this port has a deep red color. In the nose, aromas of ripe red fruit, currants, cassis, and chocolate clearly emerge. In the taste, stewed fruit comes to the fore with a good hint of spice. Currants are also making an appearance again. The tannins are very pleasant and soft. Expect a lingering, flavourful finish. This port offers great complexity along with a full yet elegant body.

The Burmester port is made from grapes from Quinta do Arnozelo, located on the south bank of the Douro. The Quinta is located in the prestigious upper reaches of the Douro area, aptly named Douro Superior. In addition to its favorable geographical location, it has an ideal microclimate, both of which contribute to the superior quality of the grapes. The vines are planted on fine grained soil, moderately fertile, with good heat retention. The northeast-facing vineyards are on the typical terraced slopes with some vertical plantings along the lines of the main slopes around 400-600 meters above sea level.

Store & Serve
Unopened and well-preserved, your vintage port wine can be kept for years. Store horizontally at a constant temperature of 15 ° C away from intense direct light. Vintage port wines from 50 to 60 years old are no exception. Because this wine is still ripening on the bottle, sediment can be formed with time, so that the wine has to be decanted before consumption, so when you approach the bottom of the bottle, carefully pour it
After decanting, the wine will quickly reach its peak and is best consumed during the course of the day.
Serve at 16- 18ºC
