15 Year-old Sercial offers more drive and fruit intensity on the nose than the 10 Year-Old, with vivacious aromas of dried honey, hazelnut and a touch of marmalade. The palate is medium-bodied with lemongrass driving the spicy entry. This Sercial shows good weight and sweetness, leading to a harmonious spice and clove-infused finish that lingers nicely in the mouth. this is a delicious medium-bodied and mouth-wateringly tangy Madeira

Food-pairing

Sercial, slightly chilled, is often served as an aperitif and goes great with some salted almonds, olives, smoked fish, oysters and cold cuts and cheeses.

Sercial is also particularly delicious with goat cheese and other dry astringent cheeses such as feta and Portuguese cheeses such as Queijo Fresco, Requeijão, Rabaçal and Picante de Beira Baixa.

Also delicious with Chinese food and just as superior as a Pouilly-Fumé or Sancerre, but certainly not as strong as a glass of cognac.
