This is a carefully selected blend of elegant portwines aged in barrel for five years. Its lightness and elegance come from having less color extraction due to shorter skin/juice contact at fermentation. It is more complex on the nose than the Ruby, showing youthful fruit with a raspberry character. On the palate It is medium sweet with a well balanced fruit and richness.

Quinta da Romaneira is a spacious 400 acre Single Estate port house in the Alto Douro, near idyllic Pinhâo, world famous for its beautiful UNESCO World Heritage awarded views and terraced vineyards. Quinta da Romaneira has always kept its business operations in-house. And that is not surprising, since the vineyards are located on the very best terroirs. The ports of Romaneira can compete with the best in the region.

Quinta da Romaneira is one of those historic port houses of the Douro. As early as 1872 Christie's auctioned two port wines from Romaneira from 1861 and 1863: the first single quinta ports traded here. However, the house is by no means stuck in history. With the arrival of Christian Seely in 2004, Romaneira was catapulted into the 21st century in no time. The vineyards were renovated, a state of the art new wine cellar was built and the vinification process was modernized. Today, Romaneira belongs to the elite of Douro wineries and enjoys a reputation for both still and fortified wines.

Store & Serve

Remains drinkable for several months (4 to 6 months) after opening, provided you always close the bottle with the original stopper and keep it at a constant temperature of about 12 degrees. Serve at a temperature of 12-14 °C.
