The history of the estate of Quinta Curvos dates back over 400 years. Many legends are associated.

 Indeed, it is reputed to be one of the most beautiful areas of the Minho region. The first owners of the estate were a couple who founded a chapel dedicated to Saint-Roch, the patron saint and defender of diseases and famines, Manuel Belo and his wife Ana Ribeiro in 1600. The area was then called Quinta Santa Marina. The field is not formally appoint Quinta of Curvos until February 27, 1709. Today is the Fonseca family that owns the field, and since 1974. The production of Vinho Verde is the main activity area of ​​Curvos Quinta, which is a family business since its inception. The vineyard, located in a small valley, benefits from the influence of the river Neira, which gives the grapes a wonderful freshness, essential for the production of Vinho Verde. The excellent sun exposure and granite soils give fruity and floral very expressive, for wines of finesse and a breathtaking structure. The 27 hectares of the Quinta de Curvos vineyards are located on three towns: Forjães, Ponte de Lima and Barcelos.
