Howard’s Folly sources fruit from the region of Portalegre, in North-East Alentejo. Cooler temperatures, high altitude sites and mineral soils where old vines have thrived for nearly a century, produce wines of great complexity and freshness. Dense red berry fruit aromas with light earthy and vanilla notes are elegantly balanced on the palate with tannin and acidity

I'd be sipping this with barbecued Meats or a delicious Ribeye Steak.

Partially a field blend of old vines up to 50-years-old, the wine comes from the hills in northern Alentejo. It is a rich wine, powered by dark fruits, blackberry and plum along with ripe tannins. It is impressive and worth aging for longer. Drink from 2024. Roger Voss
