Pomegranate colored wine with violet nuances. Aroma vinous intense to ripe red fruits, with slight notes to chocolate. La Terras de Lava red reveals a harmonious taste. Its soft tannins give it a persistent finish.
The Cooperativa Vitivinícola da Ilha do Pico was founded in 1949, when local producers came together to try to restore the noble grape varieties and culture of vineyards in a stone corral, now classified as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Over the years, more members have joined this cause, now 250, including women, men and families who dedicate their lives to their passion. Today, with over 70 years of history, it is the oldest wine producer in the Azores and continues to respect and preserve winemaking traditions. This alliance shapes the quality of wines made on the soil of the Azores.
