Jaen is quite rare as a mono-cépage. A delicious red wine, graceful and with a nice structure with aromas of blueberries, fine spice and pepper tones, very typical of the grape variety. On the palate, this variety Jaen has a perfect structure with fine, complex, delicate tannins and an elegant, long-lasting finish.

Jaen has been cultivated in Portugal since XIX century in the region of the Rio Dão, but has its origins in Spain. This red grape variety is strong, early-growing and has a moderate production. The variety has adapted well to the special climate and soil conditions of Beira Interior. Wines made from Jaén grapes are colorful with a high percentage of alcohol, low acidity and little tannin, complex aromas of red fruits. Delivers high-quality wines that are easy to store. Is more often used in blends
The grapes are hand picked, destemmed and lightly crushed. The wine was aged 50% in stainless steel tanks for 7 months and 50% in new 500 liter French oak barrels.
Store & Serve
Serve at 16 -17 ºC. Can be drunk until 10 years after harvest
