Colinas Principal Grande Reserva Tinto 2011
After the Principal Grande Reserva 2009, one of the 10 best red wines in the world, and described by Luca Gardini - world champion sommelier in 2010 - as a "striking red", who, in the nose, refers to the most prestigious wines of Tuscany and in the mouth to the best Bordeaux wines, there is now the long-awaited harvest of 2011. Considered as one of the best wines of the past 50 years.
This is a red wine with clear purple hues and expressive notes of ripe black fruits (blueberries & plums). The nose is enriched by smoky aromas. It is a full-bodied and voluminous wine. Its well-defined tannins offer great aging potential. The taste is attractive with fine tannins and a long, nice fresh aftertaste.
A wine similar to the best Bordeaux wines made from Merlot grapes. Can be stored for up to 20 years after the harvest year.
