This Herdade Grande has a deep ruby red color and features aromas of black cherry, cassis and blueberry jelly. In the mouth black cherries, red berries and subtle notes of caramel and sweet oak. This red wine is distinguished by its round and balanced tannins and spicy aftertaste.

 

Food pairing  

Ideal for soups, spiced meat dishes, stew & lamb, cheeses and sausages.  Also suitable for grilled cod in the oven.

Grapes: Alicante Bouschet, Aragonês, Touriga Nacional & Trincadeira

The fermentation took place in small stainless steel vessels with temperature control to preserve all aromatic elegance. Ripens afterwards for 9 months in American and French oak barrels.
