A top quality wine from a great producer. It is a full bodied wine, ruby red in colour, pungent with deep blackcurrant and earthy characters, smooth on taste with summer fruit flavours considable length and fish. It now drinks like a mature Bordeaux claret.
The estate and the winery are located between the must visit town of Évora (Unesco World Heritage Site) and Reguengos de Monsaraz, in the parish of Vendinha – São Vicente do Pigeiro. This location offers conditions of climate and soil for grape growing and wine production that are unequalled in the Alentejo.

The vineyards benefit from the best possible climate, soil and sun exposure. The well aerated, clay loam soils with granite outcroppings are perfectly apt for grape growing. The Mediterranean climate yields wines that are aromatic, well-structured, complex and well-suited for bottle ageing. The 15 year old vineyards spread over 40 hectares, and comprise a combination of typical Portuguese grapes – Touriga Nacional, Aragonez, Alicante Bouschet, Trincadeira, Periquita and Tinta Caiada, for reds and Verdelho for whites – with some of the most famous international varieties – Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot.
