This aromatic white wine is clear and fresh. A nose of orange peel and some tropical fruit, something between sapodilla and melon. It has a very soft viscosity, but very clean lingering acidity. It is a very satisfying adventure that never ceases to enthrall
Luis Pato is one of the leading winemakers in the Beiras region of Portugal, where he has helped to modernize some winemaking practices as well as lift the quality of the region's wines. Luis was a chemical engineer before taking over his parent's winery in the 1980's. Immediately he began to experiment with his red and white wine production, honing his skills over the years to help create wines of excellent quality. Today he has 65 hectares of land that he uses to make wonderful red, white and sparkling wines.

The Vinhas Velhas Branco is a blend of Bical grown on chalky-clay soil with Cerceal and Sercialinho grown on sandy soils. The grapes are fermented and aged in stainless steel tanks for 4 months
