“Alfacinha” is a popular expression used since the 19th century. XIX to identify the people born and raised in the city of Lisbon. But Lisbon, besides being the capital of Portugal, is also the name of a wine region, and Alfacinha was the brand that we created to express this territory and, at the same time, pay homage to historic city and its people.

The Geographical Indication Lisbon is one of the most important Portuguese regions, in terms of vineyard area and wine production. Formed by gentle hills, with little pronounced relief, IG Lisboa extends from the capital of Portugal to the north, up to Pombal, always along the coast, in a strip that does not exceeds 40 km in width. Multifaceted region, encompasses several denominations of origin, ancient and modern, with distinct characteristics each other. The climate is temperate, with Atlantic influence, with relatively cold summers. milder, cooler and more humid in areas closer to the sea, warmer and dry in the areas protected by the Montejunto mountain range.
