A charming red wine in which the Douro terroir stands out in its fullness. An aroma of red fruit complemented by roasted and sweet aromas from the oak barrels. Very supple in the mouth, partly due to its velvety tannins, juicy structure and a stylish long finish. A Rioja-like type of red wine.

Food Pairing

Ideal with red (grilled) meat, at the BBQ, roast beef and aged cheeses, penne pasta with basil pesto cream sauce and vegetable lasagna

Grapes: Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, Touriga Nacional

9 months matured in French and American oak barrels

The harvest, from September 6 to October 10, due to the moderate temperatures during the development of the vegetative cycle and during the summer, took place within the normal period, but started later compared to the last 5 years. During the vegetative growth period of the plant, the climate was very unstable, so we had to pay extra attention to diseases and pests. Although we did not have the same disease pressure as in 2018, it was not an easy year. The last ripening phase in September was longer than normal, resulting in grapes with optimal ripeness
