Adega do Monte Branco, built in 2006, welcomes, with its contemporary architecture, those who have the privilege to visit the beautiful city of Estremoz

After graduating as an Agro-Industrial Engineer and an internship in Sonoma County, Luís Louro returned to Portugal to work with his father, the famous Portuguese producer of Quinta do Mouro. Fascinated by Alentejo and his local grape varieties, Luis decided to share his vision with his project. In 2004, Adega do Monte Branco was born in Estremoz.

The vineyard is 26 Ha large and in the soil there is calcareous clay and schist. The "Monte Branco" label is only produced in exceptional years. It combines a mix of Alicante Bouschet, grown in schist soils, and Aragonez, grown in limestone. The wine critic João Paulo Martins, emphasizes their "density", the "hints of dark fruits" with "a sweet touch", and the austere character that invite to lagering in cellar. They are always complex wines, with a strong character - they are wines to keep.
