Douro - C. Da Silva

C. da Silva is a family business from 1863 with a rich history. Clemente da Silva arrived in Portugal from Brazil in 1933. His dream was to start a wine / port house with wines and port of high quality. He bought the wine business from his wife's family. This wine company dates back to 1863 under the name Corrêa Ribeiro e Filhos. (then already a supplier to the royal family).

The vineyards are located in the best area of the Douro Valley and all have A status. The steep south-west slopes on which the terrace vineyards are located take maximum advantage of the large number of hours of sunshine. The plantings mainly consist of Tinta Barocca, Tinta Roriz, Touriga Nacional, Tinto Cao and Tinta Fransisca.

The cellars of C. da Silva are located halfway up the slope in Vila Nova de Gaia.

The dedicated staff and passionate leadership of C. da Silva (Vinhos) SA, have as main goal to produce wines with high quality standards that meet the wishes of all consumers by ensuring prestige, reputation and perception of the brand to ensure.
