Classic power with a lovely violet-scented and peppery nose and delicious layers of opulent blackberry fruit within a finely structured tannin framework that ensures very good aging potential. The hot summer of 2006 has added an additional layer of concentration to the traditional Vesuvio velvety richness and depth. This is a very great Vesuvio Vintage Port.

This most beautifully located quinta (farm), down on the water's edge of the River Douro has been revitalised by the Symington family. This is a major 'house' that continues the tradition of treading the grapes in the ancient stone 'lagares' (troughs).

This port is delicious with foie gras, certain cheeses (Gorgonzola, Roquefort), as an aperitif or as dessert wine

Serve at 16-18 °C. Must be opened 6 to 24h in advance
