Originating from the high Alijó Plateau (550 metres). The soil consists of granite. Vertice’s winery in Douro, one of the oldest wine regions in the world, excels in combining ancient traditions with modern innovations. By rigorously selecting and using only the best grapes, and sometimes even skipping a harvest if the quality is not optimal, Vertice shows that they are uncompromising when it comes to quality. This has earned them numerous international awards, including a score of 92 points from wine critic Robert Parker. Vertice Cuvee Brut Vinho Espumante do Douro is produced from an exquisite blend of 75 percent black grapes and 25 percent white grapes, sourced from the high-altitude vineyards of Caves Transmontanas. These vineyards are located at an altitude of 550 meters above sea level, where the combination of slate and granite soils creates a unique environment for the development of intense aromas. The grapes are carefully selected and harvested by hand to ensure the highest quality. After the harvest, the wine undergoes a careful vinification process, during which the must ferments slowly and the wine is then aged for 40 months, allowing it to develop its characteristic complexity and elegance.
