Montes Claros Sparkling Wine Brut
This refined sparkling wine has a crystal clear citrus yellow color and small, frivolous bubbles. The elegant aroma of wine is filled with notes of tropical fruit and light nuances of almonds. The taste of wine is young, fresh and balanced. A perfect harmony between acidity and alcohol, with hints of citrus and tropical fruit in the lingering finish.
Montes Claros wine range, one of the oldest and most recognized brands in Portugal thanks to the consistency of its quality, since 1945.
This brand appeared on the market in the late 40s of the last century, with the symbolism of the “Montes Claros Monument” that pays homage to the important Portuguese victory in the Battle of Montes Claros, achieved over the Castilian army, in the site with the same name, in 1655
Food pairing
A versatile wine. Excellent for starters, salads, light grilling and fish. Delicious aperitif and an excellent accompaniment to seafood. It is also one of the few that goes perfectly with sushi.
Grapes: Arinto & Alvarinho
Grapes from previously selected vineyards follow a strict maturity control before harvest time is taken. At the winery, the process of complete stalk removal and light pre-fermentative maceration follows, clarification for 18 to 24 hours. Then the alcoholic fermentation starts at 15ºC, followed by a light and partial aging in French oak barrels with “batônnage sur lies”. The grape varieties were individually controlled during maturation, with the final blend made only with the best wines. The final dilution is achieved by keeping the bottles in the cellar for 3 months. This wine is naturally stabilized to maintain all its harmony and varietal characteristics. For this reason, some sediment may form in the bottle over time that does not affect the quality.

Perfumed tropical aroma, also with apricot and orange, fresh. In the mouth it already shows some creaminess and liveliness, it is crispy and young but already with a mousse that gives it something more, ending with a light apple. It's dry and fresh.
