Graham's Fine Tawny Port is light brown in color, lighter in color and texture than Ruby and also slightly drier. The young wine ripens for an average of three years in seasoned oak barrels, allowing the wine to come into contact with the oxygen that permeates through the wood of the barrels. This means that part of the rich, fruity style of a young port remains, but the Fine Tawny also starts to get the persistent nut and caramel-like flavors of an Aged Tawny port.
