Bright amber in color. Fresh aromas of polished wood, caramel, balsamic, iodine and prunes. Complex, perfectly balanced and multi-layered flavors, seasoned acidity and good depth, nice and warm, followed by a long dry aftertaste. This wine is a tribute to the history of Madeira wine. In May 2014, 1,296 bottles were bottled, all individually numbered.

Grapes: Boal & Tinta Negra
Boal from São Vicente and Campanário and Tinta Negra from Câmara de Lobos. Grape must from Tinta Negra was obtained through foot treading and Boal from continuous press. The Ribeiro Real vineyards from Estreito de Câmara de Lobos spread over the south side of Madeira, fully exposed to the sun at an elevation of about 200 metres above sea level. Great Madeira wines originated in this locality, such as Favila Tinta Negra. We continue to preserve the traditional methods of making and aging Madeira wine. We selected our best Boal wines and blended it with old wines from over 100 year old Tinta Negra from Ribeiro Real

Keep a Madeira wine always upright. The acids of Madeira are so strong that they affect the cork when the bottle is kept lying down. Serve a t11-12°C . Does not require decanting. After opening still months good
Madeira is a wine that matured in an oxidative environment for several years, and then comes to bottling in a reductive environment. It is therefore useful to open the bottles a few hours in advance. The bottles can then be preserved almost unlimited, as the air is no longer affecting Madeira wines. It is even so that after a few months the wine tastes better than when the bottle is just opened.
