This Madeira has a pure and brilliant pale amber color.
An intriguing, elegant and complex aroma of musk and wood with delicate notions of honey. The old Reserve, more than 40 years old Madeira Terrantez, is semi-dry with flavors of nuts and minerals. The aftertaste is refreshing.
Food-pairing
Walnut bread with manchego cheese and Spanish ham such as jamon de Serrano.
Roasted duck with dark chocolate gravy
Grapes: Terrantez
Terrantez vines, one of the oldest grape varieties in the world, produce very low yields of high quality grapes and wines. There is little incentive in Madeira to plant new Terrantez vines so that the wines have become a rare commodity.
